We require credit card details when you book our fully-flex rate but only to secure your booking. We do not ask for full payment up front. Payment for your stay and any extras you have taken whilst you are with us will be required when you check out and not before. 

Yes – whilst we really hope that you won’t need to cancel your booking, on our fully-flexible rate, as long as you cancel your booking before 10:00am on the day before you’re due to arrive, there will be no charge. If you do need to cancel simply give us a call on 01904 638733.

Bookings cancelled after 10:00am on the day before you’re due to arrive will be charged for the first night’s stay. No Shows will be charged for the first night’s stay.

Yes character rooms and feature rooms. £25.00 additional charge per night. 

No we take a credit card to guarantee reservations and our cancellation policy then applies.

Corporate rates are available on request.

3pm – Early check in can be arranged on request.

We don’t have a gym on site but you are very welcome to use the gym at our sister property Middletons, which is just a 10 minute walk away. You’ll just need to show your welcome card from the Judge’s when you check in to the Emporer’s Gym to gain your complimentary access.

It’s at 52 Skeldergate  which is YO1 6DS – or just pick up a map from reception to guide you there.

Available at £20.00 subject to availability until a maximum of 1 pm.

Our Judge’s Suite, Feature and Character rooms all have baths.

Yes, we have a limited supply and there is no charge.

The bar opens from 11am to 11pm Monday to Saturday. 10.30pm on Sunday.

Wi-Fi is now available in all rooms and all public areas.

Due to our central location, we do not have any car parking on site. We recommend Mary Gate car park and this operates on take a ticket and pay on exit system. Charges are approximately £16/24 hours. 

No lift, but we have ground floor rooms and all of our staff are here to help. 

Dogs are allowed in some of our rooms, please call us on 01904 638733 for more information.

We love to welcome well-behaved owners and their dogs, but please be aware that not everyone loves your dog as much as you do. To help us keep happy customers of both the two and four legged varieties, please observe our simple requests:

  • Dogs are allowed in the bar area, but not in the dining only areas
  • Please don’t let your dog jump or pester other guests, or their pets or disturb others by barking
  • Make sure your dog is clean and dry before they come in

Yes- we have one accessible guest room. The Cellar Bar and downstairs dining areas are fully accessible.

Served from 7:30am ’til 10am weekdays and 8am ’til 10:30am weekends and bank holidays. Full English or continental breakfast is available.

Personalised menus are available on request.

Unfortunately, we do not have a luggage store room. Guests are welcome to leave luggage in our reception area however.
